Announcement in Yahoo Chat :
Due to recent departures from the Peasant Magic governing body, there are three new openings for people to join the Council. The Peasant Council is the august body that determines which cards will and will not be banned or restricted for upcoming events on the unofficial but otherwise official Peasant Magic banned and restricted list.
(See http://www.geocities.com/peasantmagic/cardshort.htm for the complete current list.)
If you know of a person who is willing to donate some small amount of time to reviewing cards for bannind or restricting, or for considering rule revisions and so forth for the format, please NOMINATE THEM (or, nominate yourself...who's gonna know?).
To nominate someone for the Peasant Council, post an email to the Yahoo! Peasantmagic list (at http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/peasantmagic/ ) or email me at roberbaran@... with the subject heading of Council Nomination. Then, in the body of the email, note any qualifications that you have that uniquely qualify your nominee for the strenuous and low- paying position of Councilmember. That's it. Assuming we get more than three nominations, the current council will have some sort of method of selection (vote, dart board, first three names in alphabetical order, etc.) to choose three new Councilmembers.
Then, we'll let you know who's admitted. Please make your nominations within the next two weeks (roughly before Halloween). Post questions to the Yahoo! email list.
Thanks, Rob Baranowski
I would like to nominate kanoyams (real name, Kannon Yamada) to the Peasant Magic Council. He's a frequent contributor to this group and my blog and seems to have a great understanding of the format.
Announcement in Chris Morling Blog
Due to some changing priorities and non-Magic responsibilities, there are three vacancies on the Peasant Magic Council -- the format's decision making body. If you'd like a role in determining the direction of the format, please go to the Peasant Magic group at Yahoo at put yourself forward. You can see Rob Baranowski's official invitation here.
